Student Registration

Registration for the current year is open with school starting on August 12, 2024. Please make sure you submit All the required forms for new or returning students in the PowerSchool parent portal.

Check the PowerSchool parent portal periodically to see if forms have been approved or rejected and what information is still needed.
Office staff are back to work on August 1, 2024, and will start approving forms you submitted as quickly as possible, but it may take a few days to catch up.

Online Registration
Parents of new students, click on the New Student Registration link to the left and follow the directions on the New Student Registration page. This process is for any new to the district student or returning students throughout the current school year.
Parents of current students will need to log into their Powerschool parent account and confirm and update their information. Information can be found by clicking on the Returning Student Registration link to the left.
All students will have the opportunity to complete the Free and Reduced Meals application, along with other optional forms. All families must reapply for Free and Reduced meals every year, but these aren't available until August.
For any student that plans on riding a bus to school, Caldwell transportation will still be handling bus registration, so you will need to contact them at (208)587-8045.

Attendance Zone Map
View the District Attendance Zone map to determine the proper home school for elementary students.

Open Enrollment Forms
According to the Mountain Home School District's Open Enrollment Policy, students who reside outside of a school's attendance zone and want to enroll their child into that school may apply to attend the preferred school by submitting an Open Enrollment/Out-of-Zone form to the school office. View the District Attendance Zone map to determine the proper home school for elementary students.
For Returning Students, the updated Open Enrollment form can be found in the Powerschool Parent Portal.
For New Students, please fill out the Open Enrollment form and return it to the school you'd like to register your student at. It needs to be filled out before we can start the registration process.

Medical Statement to Request Special Meals and/or Accommodations Form & Instructions
A Medical Statement to Request Special Meals and/or Accommodations must be filed each year with Food Services. The form should be completed and signed by the student's doctor. In order to meet USDA compliance, Food Services and the school kitchen cannot provide special meals or accommodations without the proper documentation.

Military Family Life Counselor participation permission form (K-6 only)
Due to the unique challenges faced by military families, the Department of Defense is offering private and confidential non-medical counseling service to military family service member’s children in our district schools. Please fill out this form and return it to your student's school to start the process.
